What Is A Frontal?
A frontal starts from one ear and ends at the other ear while covering the front of your entire hairline and is usually typically 13” long, and 4” wide and of silk or lace.
With a lace frontal, you can achieve many styles, such as a half-up half-down ponytail, braids, and unlimited part options in the front.
Frontals are available in a range of styles, hair types, and colors here at QiME Hair.
Say bye-bye, to the days when you only had three options:
- Leave out part of your hair to blend with your weave.
- The terrible invisible part that generally broke your hair off from glue.
- Perming parts of your hair and keeping the rest natural.
How many bundles will you need when also wearing a frontal?
Because the frontal will cover a large portion of your head you will generally only need 2 – 3 bundles depending on the style and length.
What Is A Closure?
Closures and frontals have similarities but are different based on size and coverage.
Most closures are 4in in length and 4in in width, making them large enough to give you the option of a middle or a side part in your sew-in, or wig. Lace closures typically are not large enough to achieve both a side and central part in the same install.
How many bundles do you need if adding a closure to your sew-in?
You will need to use a minimum of two bundles with your closure. The longer the hair, the shorter the weft, so keep that in mind.
If you’re trying to achieve any look other than a bob, we will always advise you to purchase three bundles with your closure. Always keep the length in mind!
Lace closures come in many different textures and lengths to match your weaves.
Working with Frontals and Closures
The closure and frontal era have come through for us ladies.
>> Frontals can also be used to cover up the loss of hair along the hairline. To protect the hairline, a skilled stylist may use a safe hair adhesive, which will not pull out any hair, in front of a client’s hairline.
Most women who wear lace frontals use them when they want to try an entirely different texture or color from their natural hair color.
>> When wearing a closure, beings though it covers the whole front of your head, we would suggest you use a minimum of two bundles. Obviously, you can add additional hair upon your request.
A skilled stylist can make a lace closure look very natural, regardless of the length and texture.
